Driven by the rising number of dengue cases in Singapore, the Eco Warriors decided to investigate and contribute to dengue prevention. Children learnt more about mosquitoes and dengue fever transmission. They attended a workshop on project Wolbachia exploring various exhibits such eggs, larvae and pupae of the mosquitoes. They also explored with live male Wolbachia-Aedes mosquitoes to ascertain that male mosquitoes do not bite and learnt how it helped to suppress female aedes mosquitoes population.
