At Sunflower Preschool @ Punggol Field Walk, we strive to impart lifelong value: Kindness, in our children, paramount to their overall development as a child, a teenager and one day an adult.
The world is challenging enough and what better way than to make it a better place to live in simply by spreading kindness?
Thus, for this SSDB project themed “Our family, Our Community” , we put our plan into motion where we collaborated with a charity organisation, Food from the Heart. Our children worked hard to make handmade crafts to raise money to purchase basic food necessities to be distributed to the less fortunate among us. These families have been hit hard by the global pandemic, and simple gestures such as distributing food for them will definitely go a long way in helping them live their lives a little easier.
Through this project, children were exposed to the importance of spreading kindness to our family and our community through lessons, talks and involvement with our collaborator. May this value be imparted in our children and bring forth a new dawn for our future generations.
