With Pasir Ris Park right next to our school, the K2 children at Star Learners Pasir Ris have encountered different forms of wildlife such as toucans and owls. But who knows, many other animals reside in Pasir Ris Park! The film ‘Residents of the Park’ by Jayaprakash Bojan and Dan Ng sparked further interest and a sense of wonder in the rich biodiversity of the area.
We launched our project on 30th April, Friday, with a zoom sharing session with one of the videographers, Mr Jayaprakash Bojan, who is the National Geographic Photographer of the Year in 2017. He kindly answered the questions children have about the film as well as share his passion for wildlife and why he does what he does.
After the zoom session, our K2 children are inspired to know even more about the wildlife in Pasir Ris Park and beyond. Through our SSDB project, we want to promote the peaceful co-existence of wildlife in our urban cities as well as find out how we can also do our part to conserve and protect our rich biodiversity.
